Our HD Advanced Network Signs have three modes of operation, stand-alone, real-time and Internet server modes. This device comes with both a wired (Ethernet) and wireless (Wi-Fi) connection offering you the portability that you need. Our advanced network solution is equipped to handle high-quality media of video, graphics and scrolling text in either a standard 4:3 format or 16:9 widescreen format (up to 1080i). The player is configured using the on-screen menus and the included remote control.

Stand Alone Mode – loops content stored on CF (compact flash) cards or USB thumb drives. Can loop content with or without scheduling.

Real-Time Mode – loops content (with playlist and scheduling) from a shared folder on a PC located inside your network. Does not use memory cards but rather pulls content real-time from a local PC. If the local PC goes offline, the media player will stop playback. Checks for updates every 1 – 2 minutes.

Internet Server Mode – displays content (with playlist and scheduling) that is downloaded from an Internet Web HTTP server to the compact flash memory card installed in the network player. In this mode, the network player will check for updates every 1 to 2 minutes from the HTTP server and download new content. Since content is stored on local CF card, the network player will continue playback if HTTP server goes offline.

Through a playlist text file, you can choose what type of content to display and when using the scheduling commands. Here is a sample playlist text file:

The system even has an "Instant Message" feature that allows you to broadcast an important message by copying the emergency message content to a USB thumb drive and plugging the USB thumb drive into the USB port on the network player. Once the USB thumb drive is removed, the device immediately goes back to the normal playing mode.

These network players are not normally sold separately (they come installed in our Brightboard products). If you have a project that requires 50 or more players to use with your own displays, please contact us.
